What Is The Difference Between Powder Coat & Paint
Paint is your typical finish. It is a good way to add color and protect the metal from rusting. A powder coat will also add a finish in the color of your choice and protect the metal from the elements. The powder coat starts as a powder and gets sprayed onto the metal with a positive electric charge, then baked in an oven at a high temperature. Powder Coat is more likely to have a more uniform finish and is a lot more resistant to wear and tear. If it’s going outside, in a high wear or contact area, or requires a higher impact resistance then I would personally recommend going with a powder coat.
